Whitmore’s Drill Steel Lubricant is an anti-seize composition for use on rock drill tool joints, drill stems and couplings. Drill Steel Lubricant is specifically formulated to contain no heavy metals (lead-free).
It contains superior friction-reducing additives which minimize “make-up” and “break-out” torque, while virtually eliminating thread wear. In addition, Drill Steel Lubricant protects metal parts from rust and corrosion, even in the most adverse atmospheres. The unique metallic, film-forming characteristics of Drill Steel Lubricant provide a protective shield against shock load and thread seizure.
Drill Steel Lubricant protects against high temperatures and eliminates run-out, even under severe operating conditions. By eliminating metal-to-metal contact, Drill Steel Lubricant extends the useful life of drill steel and reduces labor required for assembly and disassembly.

Drill Steel Lubricant is recommended for all types of rotary drilling joints: API buttress threads, square threads, high lead thread and special shouldered joints.
